Explore pendant lights and chandeliers for dining tables, kitchen islands and living spaces. Compare shapes, finishes and hanging lengths to find a fitting that suits your room.
Start with the room’s proportions, ceiling height and the area you want to illuminate. Where hanging clearance is limited, compare ceiling lights with a shorter drop. Add wall lights for background illumination, or use spotlights to highlight artwork and specific areas.
Use the table’s width and shape as your starting point, keeping the fitting narrower than the tabletop. Consider a linear design or several smaller pendants over a long table, and check the full dimensions and hanging length before ordering.
A gap of around 75–90 cm between the tabletop and the bottom of the fitting is a common starting point. Adjust for the ceiling height, fitting design and seated sightlines, and follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions.
Check the selected model rather than assuming it is dimmable. Fittings with replaceable LED bulbs need compatible dimmable bulbs and controls; integrated LED models also depend on their driver. Confirm compatibility before purchasing a dimmer.
