Explore bathroom lighting for everyday routines, from ceiling fittings and downlights to wall and mirror lights. Compare light output, colour temperature and IP ratings to suit each position.
Combine general light with dedicated mirror lighting for a more practical bathroom. Explore ceiling lights for broad illumination, spotlights for focused light and indoor low level lights for gentle floor-level guidance. Check each model’s bathroom suitability and installation requirements: not every fitting in these wider ranges is suitable for wet areas.
The required protection depends on where the light is installed and its exposure to water. IP44 protects against splashes; IP65 adds protection against water jets, but not submersion. The IP rating alone does not determine suitability for every bathroom position. Have your electrician confirm the appropriate fitting for the location.
3000K gives a warmer feel, while 4000K looks more neutral and can suit shaving or applying make-up. Choose the effect you prefer and keep nearby light sources consistent. For mirror lighting, also check colour rendering; brightness is measured in lumens, not Kelvin.
Use diffused light directed towards your face rather than relying only on a ceiling light above or behind you. Lights on both sides of the mirror can provide more even illumination. If space is limited, consider a wide mirror light above it and check for glare from your usual standing position.
